Hernesto Conhache

"Días Inhóspitos" (inhospitable days) is a series of photographs made in a small town in the province of Caceres in Extremadura (Spain). The village is called "El Batán", is a town which were built when Franco had built towns and dams and thus to repopulate some areas of the country uninhabited. Here lives my immediate family and my trip to this town is continuous, I have photographed what makes me feel rootless because i am not living there, since I live in Madrid, and continually i feel displaced.
